Seventeen-year-old Maya has always written stories to escape her quiet, lonely life. With barely any readers on her Wattpad account, she never expected anyone to care about the words she typed at 2 a.m.
Until one comment appears on her newest chapter:
"I can't believe you predicted the blackout next week."
She laughs it off as a joke... until the power goes out exactly seven days later.
More comments follow. Different usernames. All claiming to be reading her story ten years in the future. They know things no one should know - the fight she's about to have with her best friend, the scholarship she hasn't even applied for yet, the name of the boy who will break her heart, and the tragedy that's waiting for her in two years.
At first, Maya uses their knowledge like a cheat code. She avoids disasters. She makes better choices. She starts living the life the future readers say she's supposed to have.
But when one comment appears that simply says:
"Stop reading these. You're changing the timeline."
Maya realizes she might not be saving herself at all.
Because the more she tries to fix her future, the more the comments change. And some of them are no longer trying to help her.
They're trying to stop her.
Now Maya has to decide: keep reading the comments that could save her life... or stop before she destroys everyone else's.
